Legal support built around you

Getting the right legal advice starts with being heard. Our solicitors take time to understand your situation fully before advising on the best course of action. That means you receive advice shaped around your circumstances, not a standard response to a standard question.

Our clients tell us they value working directly with solicitors who take the detail seriously. You will not be passed around or kept at arm’s length. When your matter needs attention, it is handled directly and promptly by the person responsible for your matter from the outset.

Personal legal matters often arise at significant moments, planning for retirement, dealing with a difficult employer, or handling a loved one’s affairs. At MAR Legal, our solicitors understand the importance of those moments and advise accordingly. Clear on the law, direct on what it means for you, and focused on getting the right outcome.

Not for every decision, but for significant ones, signing a settlement agreement, making a will, granting a power of attorney, or providing a personal guarantee – getting proper legal advice protects your interests and ensures you understand what you are agreeing to. Some transactions, such as mortgages involving a personal guarantee, require a solicitor to certify that you have received independent legal advice before the document can proceed.

For most personal legal matters, we can arrange an initial consultation within a few working days. For independent legal advice appointments, same-week availability is often possible. Get in touch and we will confirm what is available.

Many of our individual services are available on a fixed fee basis, giving you certainty on cost before work begins. Will drafting, powers of attorney, independent legal advice and document certification are all typically fixed fee. For matters where the scope is harder to define at the outset, we discuss the most appropriate fee structure at the initial consultation.
